Common Yellowthroat

The Common Yellowthroat male has a black mask while the female is more of a olive brown, with a yellow throat and under. They are 4-6 inches and live in non-forested areas low to the ground in briars and deep grasses. The migrate, but nest in our area in low nests in shrubbery or on the ground. They eat insects and spiders.
