January 2016
Our first Hygge Event. We had over 50 people join us for the Hygge event of all ages. Over half tried snowshoeing (parts of the trail were marked with glow sticks), I think almost everyone roasted wieners and/or marshmallows, and enjoyed the delicious homemade hot chocolate. It was a great evening of conversation and even some singing. A very fun evening!!!
Hygge is pronounced like "hooga" as long as your mouth is formed for ee and not oo, Another site says "hYOOguh" or "HYU-gah" or "heu-gah. Anyone with any Scandinavian accent can say it!
What is a Hygge? It’s a way to create warmth, connection and wellbeing. It’s a feeling of belonging to the moment and to each other. It’s a family event.
Spring 2015
The opening of the Sugar Maple Trail addition was held on Mother's Day on May 10. It was great success and fun was had by all who attended. There were over 50 at the ribbon opening and over 75 were served breakfast at the sugar shack. Thank you to Tom Overlie, from KTTC News, for cutting our ribbon.
