Eastern Bluebird

The Eastern Bluebird is 7 inches and seen in open fields. They are occasional winter residents. They nest in nest boxes and old woodpecker holes. They eat mainly insects and berries. This picture is of a male. A female has similar markings but instead of the blue, the female has more of a gray head with bluish wings and tail. Both have the white belly.
