Eastern Phoebe
Scientific: Sayornis phoebe
Norwegian: Gråfibi
The Eastern Phoebe is one of the earliest birds to arrive in the spring that migrates. They are 6-7 inches and live in woodlands and forest edges. Many times they build their nest under the eave on a house or barns, or under bridges. They eat mostly insects. When you see one sitting, they wag their tails up and down. Similar in looks to the Dark-eyed Junco, however, the Junco has a pinkish bill and shorter wings.
