House Wren
Scientific: Troglodytes aedon
Norwegian: Hussmet
The House Wren is 4.3-5 inches and seems very energetic. They live in open shrubby woodlands, small woodlots, and forest edges. They are summer resident and nest in Woodpecker holes close to the ground. They eat spiders, beetles, grasshoppers, caterpillars, crickets, and mollusk shells. A quick glance looks like a Common Yellowthroat, but without the yellow throat.
