Northern Harrier

The Northern Harrier is a slim, long-tailed hawk with white, black-tipped wings, a rounded tail, and an owlish face. They are around 16-20 inches and reside here in the summer. Their nests are concealed on the ground in grasses or wetland vegetation. They eat mice and voles. The male is the top photo.
