White-breasted Nuthatch
Scientific: Sitta carolinensis
Norwegian: Hvitbrystspettmeis
The White-breasted Nuthatch is very small, only 5-6 inches, but
has a loud voice. They live in deciduous and coniferous forests and
live around here all year. They next in cavities higher in trees and
eat seeds and insects. This picture is of a female, the male looks
very similar but has a chestnut color under tail.
