Wilson's Snipe, (also called Common Snipe) is plump, long-billed, and around 9-11” tall. They are seen in marshes, wet meadows, and muddy pond edges. They resides here in summer and nests are cupped grasses about 5” diameter. They are often seen probing muddy ground for earthworms and other invertebrates.
